Sprinting might look like it is an event that you can either do or not, but it is so much more than that.  Many elite Athletes in other events have to be almost as good as elite Sprinters for their event to perform at the top of their event - such as Horizontal Jumpers and Pole Vaulters.

For all Young Athletes, there is great advice on how to begin to improve your sprinting and core data for Coaches, Teachers and Parents to use.  Have a look at SprintCoach for one idea to move Young people from good to very good (obviously you need more to become elite and you need a Coach or knowledgeable helper at this level)
